Emergency tree work in Iver

A split limb, hanging branch or partly uprooted tree can move after the wind has dropped. Keep people, pets and vehicles away. Do not stand beneath the damaged part, pull at it or try to cut timber under tension. Close a private route from a safe position if it can be done without approaching the tree.

Call 999 where there is an immediate danger to life or a serious road hazard. If a tree has contacted electricity lines, stay well away and call 105. Protected-tree controls can have a narrow exception where work is urgently needed to remove an immediate risk of serious harm. The work should go no further than needed, and the landowner must follow current notice and evidence requirements. A damaged tree that is not an immediate serious risk follows the normal permission route.
