Tree felling and removal in Iver

A tree can only be felled in one piece where there is enough clear space for the whole stem and crown. Houses, conservatories, sheds, boundaries and retained planting often rule that out. Sectional dismantling removes the crown and stem in controlled pieces. Rope systems may be used where a cut section cannot be allowed to fall freely.

We write down the tree, the intended final height and whether the stump remains. It also records property that needs protecting below the crown. Removal is not a pruning shortcut. Where a tree can be retained with suitable work, that is a separate choice to discuss before a felling specification is agreed.

Iver's historic village core includes a conservation area, but the boundary does not cover every property. A Tree Preservation Order may protect a tree elsewhere. Buckinghamshire Council should confirm the position for the address before non-emergency felling starts. The application or notice must describe the proposed work accurately.

Other controls can also apply, including felling-licence rules and wildlife law. Active nests must not be damaged. We carry out the agreed tree surgery but do not provide surveys, consultancy reports or planning applications. If the authority requires a separate written assessment, the customer needs an appropriate specialist.

Send photographs of the whole tree, the trunk base, everything below the crown and the complete route to the road. Include gates, side passages, steps, turns, drainpipes and delicate paving. A large garden does not make removal simple if every branch and log still has to pass through a narrow route beside the house.
