Site clearance in Windsor

Site and land clearance in Windsor

Site and land clearance in Windsor begins with a marked boundary and a list of what stays. We separate vegetation cutting, stump work and the next ground finish in the quote.

Mark the clearance boundary

A compact plot may contain bramble, self-seeded growth, an overgrown hedge and agreed unwanted small trees. It may also contain screening shrubs or a mature tree that must stay. Mark retained plants and the clearance line before cutting so the crew has a visible limit throughout the job.

Photograph the area from both ends and supply a simple plan where the boundary is not obvious. Ownership must be known before work starts. Woodside does not provide boundary, tree or ecology surveys, so those questions need separate advice where a written assessment is required.

Branches enter butt-end first while the operator remains beside the guarded infeed.

Plan machinery and the route out

Old garden walls and narrow side passages can limit which machine reaches the plot. Show gate width, corners, steps, soft ground and every section of the route to the road. Identify glass, drains, overhead cables and paths that other people still need to use.

Protected trees and active bird nests can change the clearance boundary or timing. Windsor Town Centre has a conservation area, but address coverage must be checked rather than assumed. A Tree Preservation Order can also apply elsewhere, so confirm the position before removing any tree.

State the finish after cutting

Cutting scrub, felling a small tree, grinding its stump and preparing ground for landscaping are separate operations. The quote states which are included. Low stumps and roots may remain where grinding or excavation is not listed. Another contractor's access requirement should be supplied before pricing.

Clean-up is included. Brash, chip and timber are handled as agreed, while retained material stays where specified. Mulching or landscaping can be added when requested. The finished check is made against the written boundary, retained list and ground treatment, not an assumed bare-earth result.
