We carry out defined landscaping jobs across Iver, Slough and Buckinghamshire to repair or finish agreed garden areas. The quote states the ground preparation, levels, materials, access and finish.
What this service covers
Turn the idea into a written scope
Landscaping may mean repairing the ground after clearance, changing a small section of garden or finishing an area around new fencing, decking or planting. Start by showing us the complete space and describing how it should be used. We then confirm which parts Woodside can quote and write each included task down.
A useful brief identifies what stays. Mature trees, hedges, sheds, drains, paths, walls and established borders can set the edges of the job. Mark anything that must be protected and say whether later work is already planned. Removing a useful level or blocking future access can cost more to correct than taking time over the sequence.
The quote is the service list. Turf, soil work, edging, planting, drainage, paths or other garden features are not automatically included just because the heading says landscaping. We do not publish one standard package, material or finish. If a requested element falls outside the work we offer, we will not hide that behind a broad description.

Show us the ground, levels and drainage
Photographs should show how the ground meets the house, paths, doors, drains, neighbouring land and retained trees. A dip that holds water, a steep change in level or a buried stump affects the work below the visible finish. Tell us what happened in heavy rain and whether soil or rubble has previously been added.
The RHS advises thinking about where surplus water can go before installing garden drainage. Not every wet garden needs a drain, and water should not simply be redirected towards a building or neighbouring property. Woodside does not provide drainage engineering. Where a specialist design or approval is needed, the customer must arrange it before the relevant work starts.
Digging can encounter electricity, gas, water, communications, irrigation and drainage services. HSE guidance sets out planning, locating services and safe excavation as the main parts of work near buried services. Provide plans and known routes where available, and point out meters, covers, outside lighting and previous service work during the quote visit.

Plan deliveries and removed material
Landscaping moves material in both directions. Show the narrowest gate, steps, sharp turns and the route from the road. Tell us where deliveries can be set down and where removed material can be held. A route through a house or over a finished drive needs a different handling plan from direct access to the working area.
Existing soil and vegetation need an honest description. GOV.UK guidance warns that soil or plant material contaminated with invasive non-native plants can spread them and may be controlled waste. Japanese knotweed, giant hogweed or another suspected invasive plant must be identified before ordinary excavation or removal is agreed. Woodside does not provide invasive-plant surveys or treatment plans.
Timing depends on the finish and ground. The RHS notes that soil preparation is important before laying turf and that dry conditions can delay rooting. Saturated ground can also make preparation and access worse. We agree a practical sequence for the actual job rather than promise that every landscaping operation suits the same week of the year.
Complete the groundwork before the finish
Before work begins, we confirm the working boundary, retained features, levels, agreed materials, access and finish against the quote. If clearance or stump work is included, it is completed in the stated order before the final surface is prepared. Hidden rubble, roots or services that materially change the job are raised before proceeding.
Clean-up is included in every job. We leave the agreed work area clear, with soil, vegetation, packaging and other material handled as written in the quote. Woodside Forestry Ltd is established 2008 and carries £10 million public liability insurance. Landscaping does not include ongoing garden maintenance unless a later task is separately agreed.

What landscaping work can Woodside quote?
Send the complete brief and site photographs. We will confirm which practical tasks we can include and list them individually. The word landscaping does not create an automatic package of features.
Can landscaping follow tree or hedge removal?
Yes, where the follow-on work is agreed and sequenced in the quote. Stumps, roots, retained trees, ground levels and access all need to be considered before the finish is chosen.
Do you provide garden design or drainage reports?
No. We carry out agreed practical landscaping. We do not provide garden-design consultancy, land surveys, drainage engineering or invasive-plant reports.
