Areas we cover
Woodside Forestry provides tree surgery in Datchet. We plan the job around established trees, nearby homes, garden boundaries and access to the road.
Tree surgery in Datchet
The Datchet Conservation Area Statement records important groups of trees around the Green, along the river frontage and on several roads. It also describes a commercial centre surrounded by mainly residential streets. These features belong to defined parts of the village and should not be treated as a description of every garden.
Datchet's neighbourhood plan passed referendum in May 2023 and is now used in planning decisions. The conservation area and individual Tree Preservation Orders still need checking by address before pruning or felling. A prominent or mature tree is not enough on its own to show which control applies.
At a home, the method depends on the crown, the surface below and the route out. A brick outbuilding, hedge, narrow path or neighbouring garden may require smaller sections and controlled lowering. Send clear photos of each before asking for a quote. We arrange a visit where needed. Woodside carries out tree work, not surveys or consultancy reports.

How it works
Send the address, whole-tree photos and the narrowest access point through the quote form.
We visit when needed, then write the work, access and material handling into the quote.
We carry out the agreed work and leave the agreed work area clear.
We carry out pruning, crown work, tree removal, stump grinding, hedge cutting and emergency work. Fencing, decking, mulching and landscaping can also be included in a quote. Clean-up is included, with material handling agreed for the job.
We travel from our Iver base to Datchet and the surrounding towns and villages below. The same central contact details cover planned work and 24-hour emergency call-outs.

The price depends on the agreed work, tree size, branch spread and access. Outbuildings, walls, hedges, neighbouring property and a long or narrow carry route can change the method and time on site.
It can. The conservation area has a defined boundary, and Tree Preservation Orders can apply elsewhere. Check the individual address and proposed work with the Royal Borough before work starts.
Often, yes. We need to see the tree, roof, ground below and available working space. Branches may need to be lowered or moved in smaller sections instead of dropped into an open area.
Yes. Woodside offers a 24-hour emergency call-out for unsafe and storm-damaged trees. Keep people away from an immediate danger area and call the main number.
